Here are some questions we find people often ask regarding our services:

Why do you do this?

There are many couples that desire to be married outside of a church. In these cases, it can be extremely difficult to find an officiant who is willing to perform the wedding ceremony. We always consider it an honor to preside over this truly memorable occasion—for any couple, anywhere. We honor all genders.

How much does this part of the wedding cost?

Since no two weddings are alike, our fees vary according to your needs. We can perform a nice, simple service or take part in any elaborate ceremony one may plan. We’ll be happy to give a no obligation quote once we have a better understanding of what you are looking for in your wedding ceremony. (Travel fee for locations out of the Salt Lake City vicinity based on distance.)

How long is the ceremony?

We find any ceremony under 7 minutes has people looking around, wondering if they have missed something. Anything over 30 minutes will have your guests starting to shuffle their feet. Somewhere in the 15-20 minute range is just about right. Again, it all depends on your decisions. You will always have the opportunity to give the final approval of your ceremony. We are happy to make any changes or include a specific request you might have.

Where does one get a marriage license?

For the Salt Lake City vicinity both bride and groom must accompany each other to the Marriage License Division, 2001 South State Street, Suite #S2200, Salt Lake City, Utah, Ph. (385) 468-7300. The fee is $50.00, and you must provide proper identification (Drivers License, Military ID, Passport, or State ID Card). You may apply for your license within 30 days of your ceremony by completing and submitting your application at the following URL. http://slco.org/clerk/marriage/ A license issued in any county in Utah may be used anywhere in the state and will become effective immediately. We will file your license at the county clerk’s office after your ceremony.

How do we reserve our wedding date?

First things first: CONTACT US to see if your date and time is available on our schedule. Please indicate if you prefer Anita (she’s the pretty one) or Craig (he’s the funny one). There is no charge for the get acquainted meeting. If you decide to have either of us perform your ceremony, simply pay a deposit to hold our services. The remaining amount may be paid prior to the ceremony.
